The mission of the ASB Philanthropy Committee is to bring students together in order that they may serve the medical community by advancing the well-being of humanity through volunteer work and charitable donations. The following is a brief list of projects in which the ASB is involved:

Junior Diabetes Research Foundation – This is a walk used to raise money for diabetes research.

Toys for Tots – Toys are donated through the Salvation Army to children whose parents or guardians are not able to afford presents for them at Christmas.

Habitat for Humanity – Habitat is a great way for students to really give back to the community. This year, two houses were built for UMC-affiliated employees who were not able to afford suitable housing for their families.

Heart Walk – This is a walk used to raise money for heart health awareness.
